about

The Isolated was initially written for the first Failing Minds demo and was rerecorded for Blackened Sea. The song was used because the band thought it had more potential sonically and also used the same tuning as the rest of the album. The lyrics were reworked to fit the storyline of album and is the climax of the plot.

The recording on Blackened Sea is around 20 seconds shorter than the original version due to the tempo increase.

lyrics

It's twelve thirty in the morning
The black light shines on my face
I can't see the light in your eyes
Take me there it's such a strange place

Staring at the hole in the wall
Thinking about the night before
Mysterious thing that you said to me
Her books falling down
They settle on the floor

I won't be
Your diamond dog
The isolated
Scream the song
She can't anyone who
Takes your life
It's something to do

It feels like the world is so small
Knowing there is only us
Leaving behind everything we knew
Good for us
Leaving so much lust

Feeling the lock on the door
Stuck in this place
I can't hear a sound
Shadow in the light
Don't leave me alone
Knowing there is no one around

I won't be
Your diamond dog
The isolated
Scream the song
She can't anyone who
Takes your life
It's something to do
