about
The lyrics for Pandamoanium were inspired by the writing and recording of Blackened Sea. Dr.Sanders was suffering from severe insomnia and spent extremely large amounts of time writing songs for the release.
Hawkins assisted with the composition and lyrics (especially the chorus) and set the rhythm of the more melodic midsection. This song took the longest to record with its large amount of lyrics, the midsection solo, and abrupt tempo changes.
lyrics
I feel as if I'm losing my mind
Trapped inside this space
And I'm losing track of time
Gazing at the writing on the wall
Wondering if you
Will ever ever fall
She knows that the stitches aren't tight
There's nothing I can do
But try and see the light
I can see the tearing in the seams
Filling her head
With complicated dreams
Feel as if I'm losing my mind
Leaving with my back against the wall
I can hear the harlequin chime
Knowing there is nothing I can do to stall
I can see the flicking flame
Watching as the night does by
Knowing someone needs the blame
I wonder if you can tell me why
Looking for a place I can call home
Everybody thinks I am helpless on my own
I can see the lights across the sky
She could tell
It was all lies
It seems as if I'm grasping at the strings
Finding all the things that are meant to be unseen
I can feel the shears are cutting close
Knowing in the end
I'll become a ghost
Feel as if I'm losing my mind
Leaving with my back against the wall
I can hear the harlequin chime
Knowing there is nothing I can do to stall
I can see the flicking flame
Watching as the night does by
Knowing someone needs the blame
I wonder if you can tell me why
Stranger in the abyss
It seems that there is something I have missed
It has come to take me away
I try to speak but there's nothing I can say
I discover that my time is out
Seeing only staring
Faces about
Even though I'm leaving with grace
No one notices the grin upon my face
