about
DeeBow and the Wasser Sarg was initially written as a much shorter song similar to NecRomance. The band had decided to begin writing longer songs to contrast to their first demo. The middle and end sections were added to help bring melody and varying tempos to the track.
Being the first song on the album, it begins the story that is told throughout Blackened Sea. Unlike many Failing Minds' songs, the two lyrics sections in the song were written at different times. The guitar was recorded twice as Dr.Sanders was dissatisfied with the original track.
lyrics
Riding on a coffin that's in bloom
With the thought you will come soon
Drowning in the air
Looking around
Hoping that you
Will never come down
Sitting and waiting
Trapped under the ground
Wondering if you will ever come across my sound
I've been waiting
Till the break of dawn
Footsteps above
A fleeting fawn
I can taste the blood inside my mouth
She can tell that this is going south
If she stays with me
She'll never be free
But I'm sure that's something
That she can see
Sitting and waiting
Trapped under the ground
Wondering if you will ever come across my sound
I've been waiting
Till the break of dawn
Footsteps above
A fleeting fawn
They are scared of what they do not know
I must run deeper in the snow
Veins are so dry
Can't feel a thing
She looks into his eyes
And feels a strange sting
